Tom Rinaudo purchased the 'Buffalo Farm Equipment' business from Reg Whinray in September 1952. The building was built by Reg in 1951, and still stands in the original spot at 62-66 Myrtle Street, Myrtleford. Over the years, the business has revolved largely around the tobacco growing industry, and it has supplied machinery and equipment for this industry through the various stages. As more diverse farming came to the area, Buffalo Farm has evolved into selling more than tobacco equipment. Now Buffalo Farm sells machinery for vineyards, orchards, farms, irrigation for all size properties, motorbikes, some vehicle spare parts and other parts required for everyday use either on the form or on a small block. Tom was able to employ local people, and his family als came to work for him. Sam and Peter now own Buffalo Farm Equipment and continue Tom's original vision. Buffalo Farm Equipment has expanded to incorporate new and used machinery, spare parts, agricultural bikes and ATVs, irigation and a service center. They employ 14 full and part local people who each have their own knoledge to help the grwing customer base with their enquires.
